Qutub Minar represents lotus stem rising from Lord Vishnu's navel

In India itself a gigantic statue of the reclining Vishnu lay under the so-called Qutb Tower in Delhi , amidst a lake.

The statue was so huge that the Tower appeared to be a slender lotus stem rising from Vishnu ' s navel. The tower was seven - storied to symbolize the concept of the 7th heaven.

At its top was a dome. Seated under the dome on a lotus seat was the four- faced Brahms holdingthe Vedas. Brahms was shown as presiding over and supervisingthe creation from his heavenly perch .

Around the tower on theground was the zodiacal ecliptic delineated by temples symbolizingthe 27 constellations.the stately gateway leading to that (नक्षत्रालय) Nakshatralaya (i .e. Constellation Enclave ) known as (आलय द्वार) Alai Gateway still stands there. The Vishnu statue was erected in Delhi (meaning threshold in Sanskrit ) because lndraprastha , the capital of Mahabharat times was the hub of the Vedic world .

Ancient Brahminical Temple in the fort , Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh) , India , 1865

For more than two millennia, India has suffered one bloody invasion after another, leaving a Holocaust of millions of lives and a civilization and culture left in near ruins.

Through it all, India is the only one of the great ancient civilizations that has survived today.  Hinduism is the most ancient and only continuously surviving religion and culture that has successfully maintained itself while so many other cultures and civilizations have vanished.

The massacres perpetuated by Muslims in India are unparalleled in history, bigger than the Holocaust of the Jews by the Nazis; or the massacre of the Armenians by the Turks; more extensive even than the slaughter of the South American native populations by the invading Spanish and Portuguese.

U.S. museum returns Hanuman statue to Cambodia

Cambodians were overjoyed to welcome the return of a 10th century statue of lord Hanuman that was allegedly looted from the gate of an ancient temple complex decades ago.

The return was facilitated by the Cleveland Museum of Art, which says that it is voluntarily returning the stone figure after its investigations into the statue’s origins pointed to it dubious provenance.

The Cleveland museum says its research had discovered how the statue’s head and body had been offered for sale in Thailand in 1968 and 1972 before making its way to the US. The museum acquired it in 1982 from an art dealer in New York who has since died.

Experts say the statue, measuring 116cm tall and 54cm wide, most probably comes from the east gate of the Prasat Chen temple complex, at the Koh Ker historic site in Preah Vihear province.

Horror Story of Emergency

On 25th June 1975, Prime Minister Indira Gandhi imposed the Emergency in the country.

25 year old Narendra Modi & Indira Gandhi’s most outspoken critic Dr Subramanian Swamy disguised themselves as Sikhs during the Emergency period to avoid being arrested and acted as messengers.

Fundamental Rights were suspended, censorship was imposed on media and prominent political leaders were arrested. Media, the fourth pillar of democracy, suffered immensely under Emergency.

Press was censored. All news articles had to be sent to the Govt for approval before publishing it the next day. Any form of protest against emergency by newspaper (editors) would be curbed. Most of the newspaper printers had come to a standstill because the Govt had cut off their electricity supplies to make them “fall in line”. While several news editors used different strategies to voice out their protest, Indian Express protested by leaving the editorial section blank!!

Organizations like RSS were banned and most of its prominent leaders were arrested. However, some of the leaders went “underground” to carry out back-end activities like spreading real news to people (since newspapers were censored), creating awareness & acting as messengers of those leaders who were imprisoned.

How Invaders expolites the war eithics of Hindus

The Muslim invaders could not make any headway into India from their occupation of Sindh in 715, up to 980. It was only in the year 980, that the Muslims could invade India once again. But they had to use another gateway. Instead of attacking Rajasthan, Punjab and Gujarat from Sindh, they attacked the Shahiya kingdom in Upaganastan (Afghanistan – literally the land of allied tribes).

The first Turko-Persian Muslim chieftain to attack the Hindu domains was named Sabuktagin. He ruled from Ghazni and had forced his way up to the domains of Jayapala Shahiya (Hindu-shahis) the Hindu Raja of Kubha (later renamed as Kabul by the city’s Muslims occupiers).

The Muslims had studied Hindu warfare practices and misused the weakness of the Hindus to their hilt. Sabuktagin’s spies had told him that the Hindus start warfare at Sunrise and end it at sunset.

The crafty Muslim chieftain decided to use this practice of the Hindus against them. He challenged Jayapala Shahiya to open warfare and decided the place and date of the war. True to his word the Hindu king reached the appointed place one day before the day of the war. This was in the year 980. The Muslims too had assembled at the appointed place and the two adversaries exchanged ambassadors and decided that the hostilities would commence at sunrise the next day. After the Hindus retired for the night, the Muslim were busy preparing for a night assault. While the Hindu army was in deep slumber, except for a few scouts, the Muslim army attacked by taking cover of the dark and stormy night. The storm entirely camouflaged the advance of the Muslims as they stealthily crept towards the Hindu camp, after crossing the few hillocks that separated the two camps.

The Muslims had muffled the sounds of their advance by covering the hooves of their horses with felt and cloth. Dressed in dark clothes the Muslims almost reached the Hindu camps at 2 A.M. at night. When they were spotted, the Hindu scouts raised a hue and cry to awaken their sleeping troops. But it was too late. Before any significant number of the Hindus could arise to don their armor and be ready to fight the Muslims, a large number of them were done to death while they were half awake and struggling to prepare themselves for war.

The entire Hindu army was caught unawares, but they still put up a stiff fight against their beastly adversaries. The battle continued till past dawn, but the Hindu army had been overpowered, tricked as it had been to give the advantage of surprise to the Muslims. By late morning the remnants of the Hindu army retreated back to their capital Kubha (Kabul), with the Muslims in hot pursuit. The Muslims soon occupied Kabul and continued to push the Hindus eastwards.
